[photogallerylink id=15246 align=right] In 1964 Joe Jackson brought the [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Jackson 5[/lastfm] to Mister Lucky’s Lounge on the corner of 11th and Grant in Gary, Indiana for their first ever public performance. Now, the building is scheduled to be torn down.
To commemorate the site of the music venue, Mister Lucky’s Lounge, LLC, is selling kits with bricks, t-shirts, buttons, posters, hats and path name engravings with the proceeds going to create a green space at 1100 Grant Street in Gary, Ind., and to VH1 Save the Music Foundation, an organization dedicated to restoring instrumental music education in America’s public schools, while raising awareness about the importance of music as part of each child’s complete education.
